GABRIEL LANGTON has received “very positive results” following his horror fall in the gymnastics arena – and has been discharged from hospital without any “serious injury complications.” On Friday night, the 19-year-old gymnast fell off an apparatus during the men’s team final competition at The Arena and landed badly, head first onto the mat. Team England went on to win the silver medal, finishing behind Commonwealth champions Canada, but performed without knowing how their stricken teammate was doing. ANTHONY JOSHUA VS KRISTIAN PRENGA LIVE COVERAGE Almost 24 hours after the incident, Team England issued an update to say he had not suffered a major injury following the fall and was “is in good spirits.” A spokesperson said: “Gabriel was transferred to the hospital as a precautionary measure overnight and underwent multiple scans today, with very positive results. MORE FROM COMMONWEALTH GAMES “Thankfully, he has been cleared of any serious injury complications and will be discharged to return to the team hotel this evening. “He is in good spirits and hugely grateful for the many messages of support and the excellent care provided by the medical teams. “He is looking forward to being reunited with the team to celebrate his silver medal.
