Emotional Freddy Brazier breaks silence after being brutally mauled by his dog – & reveals he has just hours to save him

JADE Goody’s son Freddy Brazier has spoken of his terror after his dog savagely attacked him and ripped a hole in his arm. Speaking exclusively to The Sun on Sunday after emergency hospital treatment, he said: “He hooked on to my arm. The 21-year-old son of late Big Brother star Jade was left with a 3cm (1.2ins) hole in his right arm after his pocket bully breed dog Pablo mauled him while he was walking in Bermondsey, South London, on Monday. The Sun reported on Wednesday how Freddy had rushed from his dad Jeff Brazier’s home in Essex to Bermondsey after his nan Jackiey Budden, 68, called 999 saying Pablo had attacked her. Terrified his dog would be taken away by cops, Freddy said he took Pablo from his nan’s flat so he could stay at a pal’s house nearby. However, two minutes after leaving Jackiey’s flat, 18-month-old Pablo launched a vicious attack on him in the street. Freddy said: “I’ve taken him out of the house. I’ve calmed him down. I’m going: ‘Sorry boy I know it’s been so long. I love you. I’ve missed you.’ “I’m scratching his back, but then he hooked on to my arm. The dog was hanging off me. “I couldn’t feel anything in my right arm. But then I saw blood coming out of my tracksuit. “I opened it to see a 3cm hole in my arm. It was terrifying.” Freddy added: “He was just a completely different dog. “Honestly, when I picked him up from my nan’s and got him out of the room, I was scared. “I’ve never been scared of Pablo, but I was scared.” He added: “He had his harness and lead on, so I was able to tie him to a fence while he calmed down and I could call an ambulance and try to figure out what the f**k to do with myself.” Freddy continued: “The police arrived to take Pablo and I watched him get taken by the thing that goes around their neck. It was heartbreaking. “I watched my dog get dragged into a police car. “Pablo had to spend the night in a cell, bless him. That is s**t.” Freddy said he was terrified to see a hole in his arm where Pablo had bit through his jacket Credit: Freddy said he was told by doctors that his injuries could have been far worse Credit: Freddy went to St Thomas’ Hospital in London’s Waterloo — where he said he waited “too long” in A&E — before going to the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel, where doctors told him his injuries could have been much worse. He said: “I can’t bend my arm because of where it’s located. I can’t put my arm up and down. “I don’t think they can stitch it. They’ve done a litre of saline water wash in the hospital. “I had a local anaesthetic and I could still feel everything. It was extremely painful. “Thankfully, it wasn’t close to an artery or anything like that. However, they did say it was quite close to a muscle and that if it could have been any more to this side or to that side I might not have been able to move that part of my arm.” Police told Freddy in a formal letter his dog would be put down after seven days if he could not find a suitable place for it to live. He has until Tuesday to do that. He added: “I want my dog back, but my nan has told me that he can’t go back to her house, and my dad won’t have him at his house. Since 2024, it is a crime to own or possess an XL bully dog in England and Wales without a certificate of exemption. But the pocket bully, which is legal to own in the UK, is a smaller variation. Freddy has been living with TV presenter dad Jeff, 47, and prioritising his mental health after splitting from girlfriend Holly Swinburn, 22, months after they had daughter, Isla Jade, in March. There were times when I would go and see him and take him on a walk, but I hadn’t seen him in two weeks.” Pablo was living with Jackiey’s two female dogs — an Italian spinone and a pitbull crossed with an XL bully, called Echo. Freddy said: “He’s always had a good relationship with the other two dogs. I’ve never known Pablo to attack.” Freddy said he has considered neutering Pablo, which can help reduce hormonal aggression. He said: “I’d love it if I was settled and had my own place to have Pablo back. I’d love it if I had the money to pay for the training and fix whatever it is. “People can change and so can animals. He can change from this, because I know that’s not him.” The Sun on Sunday has seen a letter from the Met Police to Freddy saying he needs to convince them there is a safe home for Pablo to be kept. It says: “You should, as a matter of urgency, consider what alternative arrangements you may need to make for the ongoing care of your dog if this eventually arises.”
