Emmerdale confirms massive twist as Thea’s identity is revealed

It hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX and YouTube. DS Thea Ramsden’s (Chelsea Edge) connection to the Tates has been revealed in Emmerdale. The character was introduced to us shortly after Dr Caitlin Todd’s (Caroline Harker) death. As she got to work investigating the surgeon’s demise, it was soon revealed that Thea had alternative reasons for being in the village. Viewers learnt that Thea had been asking friend and former copper Serena Sugden (Casey Al-Shaqsy) to break into Home Farm to find some information she could use against Kim Tate (Claire King). Thea described Kim as the ‘devil’ who she needed to ‘cut off at the knees’. Pretty harsh – but it seems she has every reason to feel hatred towards this iconic face. Ramsden knew Jimmy had swerved to avoid another vehicle and wanted to frame Kim as its driver. The only evidence Thea had that Kim could’ve potentially been near the scene was a speed camera picking up her movements in Hotten. That, apparently, was enough for her, so she got to work interrogating Kim. And she loved every single second of it. In a hospital, two nurses were looking after an abandoned baby. These scenes played alongside Thea questioning Kim, who was getting increasingly irritated over this copper trying to accuse her of something without any real evidence.
