He is based near London, UK. easyJet is the second-largest airline serving Europe (excluding airline groups). OAG data shows that the carrier has 1,659 daily movements (takeoffs and landings combined) in October, which is less than half that of ultra-low-cost carrier Ryanair. easyJet's network currently consists of 165 airports, which include 17 in Africa and the Caucasus. It has not flown to the Middle East since 2024, when the last of its flights to Tel Aviv took off. Of course, the airline has cut various airports in 2026, with another going in 2027. easyJet Has Removed These Airports In 2026 All operators have route and airport churn, and easyJet is no exception. Routes not performing sufficiently, incentives running out, fees/charges coming up for renegotiation, or otherwise, all influence the decision-making. It is a never-ending merry-go-round, and it is always about the best use of aircraft, which are, of course, massively movable assets. They can easily be redeployed. easyJet's full schedule has been explored, which identified that the following airports were removed from the carrier's map in 2026. They include Istanbul Airport (IST), which recently overtook London Heathrow as Europe's busiest airport. However, the airline will very briefly fly from Liverpool to IST later this year, but only for football reasons. Regular operations ended in March 2026, which is why it is mentioned. They build on cuts in 2024 and 2025, which include Ancona, Beauvais, Bergamo, Comiso, Lourdes, Rijeka, Stockholm Arlanda, Tel Aviv, and Toulon. Bergamo is interesting, largely as it is a massive airport for Ryanair, with Malpensa being among easyJet's most-served facilities. Between 2021 and 2025, easyJet flew to three Milan-area airports: Malpensa, Linate, and Bergamo. The airline provided 17% of the area's flights, although still less than Ryanair (31%). End Month (2026 Only)* Destination Served By easyJet Since Routes In 2026** March 2026 IST 2023 Bristol and Manchester October 2026 Oslo Airport (OSL) 2018 Manchester November 2026 Salerno Costa d'Amalfi (QSR) 2024 Milan Malpensa * No flights scheduled for 2027 ** Regular services only Flights To Leeds Bradford End In Three Months easyJet will cease flying to Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) and also Yorkshire on January 4, 2027. LBA has been part of the carrier's network since 2010, although only one route (Geneva) was available until 2017, which was when easyJet pulled out. When the airline returned to LBA in 2021, Belfast International Airport (BFS) was initially served, followed by Paris CDG in 2024, Barcelona, Geneva, and Palma de Mallorca in 2025, and Malaga in 2026. Loading map… Drag to explore Between October 2026 and January 2027, five routes are available: Barcelona, BFS, Malaga, Palma, and Paris CDG. All except BFS have head-to-head competition, while Aer Lingus Regional's ATR 72s operate to Belfast City. In those months, easyJet has 3% of LBA's flights and is the fifth-largest operator. The carrier serves all five places from Manchester, which is not far away, with many more flights. What About Harstad-Narvik? Located in northern Norway, Harstad-Narvik is best known as being a gateway to the Northern Lights, the Arctic wilderness, and some of the country's most beautiful locations, such as the Lofoten Islands. easyJet has flown there since June 2025 from both Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) and Malpensa. While service from AMS ended in August 2025, those to MXP continued, with the final departure taking place in September 2026. It was unclear if easyJet would return in 2027, but this has now been confirmed. Service will resume on June 29 (a week later than in 2026) and operate on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with the 235-seat A321neo currently scheduled.
