Doechii – “Lock Jaw”

Doechii's Swamp Sessions blitz continues. Right now, the newly minted rap star is building up the release of an as-yet-unannounced album by dropping striking self-directed videos for the possibly-incomplete new songs "Bomb" and "Catwoman." Today, she shares "Lock Jaw," the most outrageous track to come out of this campaign yet."Lock Jaw" is a giddy, horny dance-rap attack that reminds me of Doechii's 2024 JT collab "Alter Ego." There's a bit of hyperpop in the spaced-out, fluffy pop chorus, but Doechii also gets into her deeply Southern Trina-style snarl-rap mode. The lightly NSFW video takes place at a party full of sex toys. The credits — there are credits — list Doechii as director and creative director and Taya Lee as co-director and movement director. Check it out below.
