After a cliffhanger ending, Disney+ has officially renewed the show for a second outing. Sophie Goodhart, creator and writer, said of the news: “I am so thrilled that ‘Alice and Steve’ has been given a second season. One person wrote: “I gave two episodes a go. Couldn’t get over the grossness of it. “If it was her Mum’s friend she barely knew at all and she was 35 and hadn’t just broken up with someone maybe it’d feel less gross.” Most read in TV Another added: “I’m not against age gap relationships inherently, but I do think one with such a large gap and where the older partner has known the younger since birth is too creepy for a mainstream romcom to sound appealing.” A third offered a different stance, writing: “I’m finding it hilarious.
