Devoted and much-loved mom of two is killed while driving after being hit by a PLANE falling out of the sky onto busy road

A beloved mother of two who was killed when a plane crashed into her car on a Canadian highway has been identified as Alex Garneau.Garneau, of Prince George, British Columbia, was driving down a busy road on August 20 when a small charter plane crashed into four vehicles and crossed three lanes of traffic after losing power mid-flight, CTV News reported. Two other car passengers were taken to the hospital in stable condition, while Garneau was the only one killed. The eight passengers onboard the aircraft, which was operated by Sekani Air, were unharmed. Garneau was a mother of two to Josie and Jackson, and she was active in her children's lives and her community. 'She was a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend, and the hockey mom. Those titles only begin to describe who she was,' a GoFundMe read. 'She was the kind of person who was behind the scenes of almost every team and activity her kids were part of. She made the drive. She organized. She cheered. She made things happen. Her children are both incredible people and hockey players, and she had big dreams for them and the lives they will lead.' Laura Creighton, who created the fundraiser, called Garneau a devout friend who 'always had your back' and was the type of person who 'would show up when you needed her the most.' 'She had a way of making people feel like they belonged all while having so much fun,' read the fundraiser, which has garnered more than $131,000 CAD ($95,000 USD). 'Over the years, so many of us have spent countless hours with this family at rinks, tournaments, hotels and travelling together. They truly are part of our hockey family.''Alex gave so much of herself to her family, her children and the people around her. Now it’s our turn to be there for her family,' added the fundraiser, which has garnered more than $23,000 CAD ($16,600 USD). Garneau worked as a coach and volunteer, and was also an athlete herself when she was younger. She played for the Prince George Youth Volleyball Club, where she was a back-to-back champion in the AAAA Provincial Championships, the club said. The mother leaves behind her husband, Jordan, and her children, Josie and Jackson Garneau was a hockey mom, who also helped coach volleyball. Alex excelled at being a great friend, teammate, sister, daughter, wife, and mother. She will be greatly missed.'The Beech King Air 200 was bound for a remote airstrip in Prince George when it declared an emergency and landed on Foothills Boulevard. Preliminary data suggested one of the plane's engines stopped working. The Transportation Safety Board's full report could take months. Sekani Air told the Daily Mail: 'Sekani Air is troubled by the recent incident, and our hearts go out to those affected. Sekani Air is unable to comment on this matter any further as the incident is being investigated by the Transportation Safety Board of Canada, and Sekani Air is cooperating accordingly.'
