Dark secrets of Skirt Club where women indulge in ultimate sexual desires & hot lesbian fantasies – and men are BANNED

ENTWINED on the bed, two women kiss and caress each other before beckoning to a third to join them. It could be a highly-charged scene from an adult film designed to turn men on. This is a private members’ club for bisexual, straight and bi-curious women who want to meet like-minded ladies. Most of them have husbands or boyfriends who know exactly what’s going on and want to hear all the details later. Skirt Club holds events in 60 cities worldwide, from London to New York, Vienna and Sydney. The one I attend at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon near the City of London is among 90 parties and socials put on so far this year. Bisexual founder Genevieve LeJeune, who began Skirt Club 13 years ago, says: “I wanted to give women a safe space to indulge their desires away from men. “The parties started small and their popularity grew through word of mouth. “Now, we have more than 27,000 members, mostly aged between 35 and 55, though we have some in their 70s and others in their 20s, all of whom we have carefully vetted.” Skirt Club holds events in 60 cities worldwide, from London to New York, Vienna and Sydney Credit: Supplied Many attendees have husbands or boyfriends who know exactly what’s going on and want to hear all the details later. Tickets cost between £55 and £90 depending on your subscription. As I ring the bell on the double black doors, I am nervous. I have no idea what to expect. The 38-year-old event organiser, who goes by the name Selina Simpson, tries to allay my nerves. She got into the business after attending a party in 2017 and loving the scene. “Around 30 per cent of women at every event are newbies,” she explains. “Most of them are married or in a heteronormative relationship. “We are tailored to bisexual and bi-curious women. “Some come with a female partner, but it’s the minority.” On arrival, newbies are given a black string with a key attached so everyone can immediately recognise who else there might be feeling nervous. Genevieve, 48, says: “I call it the key to the gates of heaven — referring to a newfound freedom. “It’s a keepsake and I’ve had members tell me they’ve hung it on a mirror or bedpost to remind them of a memorable night.” Genevieve (left) met Mel at Skirt Club and described her attendance as a ‘newfound freedom’ Credit: Supplied The Signature event was held in a three-storey private venue on the edge of London’s square mile Credit: Supplied I have to admit I’m way out of my comfort zone — it’s always been men for me. My husband, Brian, knows that and has no fears about me attending. But as I enter the bar area, decorated in deep reds and blacks, complete with a small stage and metal dance pole, I start to relax. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the air is fragrant and everyone is smiling. I had been worried about what to wear. Genevieve had airily said to me: “It’s candy-themed — wear pink or pastels. Anything, really.” I’m more of a black dress girl, and the only pastel dress in my wardrobe was a flowery number that I faintly worried looked like a 1970s curtain. But the women around me were in a huge variety of outfits, from gold sequin dresses that would not have looked out of place on a red carpet to skirts and tops that could work for a school sports day. When I introduced myself to a group of three women — two newbies like me and one an old hand — they all told me their partners were very enthusiastic about them attending. He dropped me here at 3pm and will pick me up at 8pm and be longing to hear all about it. “I’ve been coming to the parties for four years, although I’ve had six-month breaks. I love them. “I always feel an excited sort of nervous, not knowing who I might meet but being sure it will end with a lot of pleasure. “My husband is just hanging out nearby waiting for me to call him and say I’m ready to leave. “No part of him is jealous — he’s excited by my sexuality.” One of the newbies — another mum of two — told me that her boyfriend actually did the research to find Skirt Club after she confided she fantasised about being with women. She said: “I haven’t told any of my friends what I’m doing. I love having a secret life away from the school gates and work. “I can’t wait to see what happens — and he’s looking forward to a debrief.” The third woman’s boyfriend had bought her a ticket to celebrate her promotion. When I lied and said I hadn’t told my husband, they all encouraged me to do so. I found their honesty very refreshing. The event kicked off with a welcome speech from Selina, where she touched on rules, such as consent and reading the room. She also congratulated the women for embracing their sexuality and feeling free to explore. Selina then stripped off to reveal she was wearing an edible bikini in keeping with the candy theme and invited women to nibble her sweets. An orderly queue soon formed. There was a belly dancer twirling around erotically, while upstairs, in a room adorned with a huge nude painting, the ice breaker started — spin the bottle. Most of the women exchanged lingering kisses in the centre of a circle of attendees seated on plush sofas and armchairs, while around 30 others clapped and cheered. The rest were mingling and dancing downstairs. Many of the women started stripping off, revealing what was clearly expensive lingerie that featured wisps of lace in different colours. As things heated up, they started caressing each other on the sofas. Some women headed to private rooms, where groups of up to five got involved with each other beneath mirrored ceilings or on benches designed for spanking. I found such excessive female sexuality confusing as I am completely straight. I was certainly one of the first to head off. I’d expected it all to start slower, thinking that with only women present, there would be more time spent chatting and getting to know each other. There was some of that, but the vast majority were involved in sexual activity. One woman I spoke to had recently moved to London and had come along to make friends rather than take part. Another two were chatting about gardening while everything went on around them, but I suspect they soon moved on. I couldn’t find any of the original women I met to say goodbye, so I can only presume they were having fun in a dark corner somewhere. It was refreshing to see women indulging their fantasies and loving every second. They weren’t performing for men and they felt safe in the company of other women who, like them, were juggling relationships, children and careers. I suspect they went home feeling rejuvenated and with huge smiles on their faces.
