‘Dada’: Nandamuri Balakrishna’s next gets a title; release date confirmed

The Telugu movie has been titled Dada.The film is directed by Gopichand Malineni and produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru. The ensemble cast includes Balakrishna, Samuthirakani, Kajal Aggarwal, Manchu Manoj, Sarathkumar, Upendra Limaye, Abhimanyu Singh, Manish Wadhwa and Saswika.The trailer begins with a voice-over in Hindi. The film seems to be set in Mumbai. Balakrishna’s character is seen sitting inside a police station. The actor then delivers a series of punch dialogues in his trademark style. He is seen conquering his enemies in style, sporting a striking goggles and leather jacket.The movie appears to be an action drama. Dada is set to hit the screens on December 24, 2026. The movie is produced under the banner Vriddhi Cinemas.Meanwhile, Balakrishna was last seen in Akhanda 2. Released in December 2025, the sequel was directed by Boyapati Srinu. The Hindu review of the movie said, “At 165 minutes, Akhanda 2: Thaandavam is an endurance test. The stereotypical portrayal of helpless citizens waiting to be rescued, or losing faith at the first sign of political manipulation, is less grating than the relentlessly amped-up background score.
