Cyberpunk Edgerunners: Burn Bright Confirmed For Spring 2027

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is gearing up for its second season, a highly anticipated release that fans are absolutely dying to see. Naturally, this involves a crossover with Cyberpunk 2077 as well as an abundance of trailers ranging from atmospheric teases to spoiler-filled epics. However, between all of that is a brand-new release that is set to drop shortly after the season airs, something that many fans likely didn't expect, considering just how long they had to wait between season 1 and 2. The latest Cyberpunk: Edgerunners project is definitely one fans will want to check out, especially those who were fond of the first season and its colorful cast of characters. Titled Burn Bright, it is scheduled to be released in Spring 2027, meaning fans shouldn't have to wait too long between rolling credits on Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 and getting their hands on this. It isn't a small release either, but rather a full set for the upcoming Cyberpunk TCG that's already got lofty ambitions of dominating the TCG world. Alongside the upcoming official Cyberpunk: Edgerunners game, the series is getting the spotlight in the new Cyberpunk TCG. While the former project is a more direct adaptation of Season 1 featuring only a handful of characters, Cyberpunk Edgerunners: Burn Bright is an entire set for the TCG. It will come with a plethora of cards based on characters, items, weapons, and moments from across the show's seasons. So, you can expect the likes of Lucy and David to pop up alongside lesser-known yet beloved fan-favorites. The Cyberpunk TCG, for those who don't know, is CD Projekt Red's latest foray into the world of card games. After it dominated the scene with Gwent for some time, it now has its ambitions set on usurping the likes of MTG and Yu-Gi-Oh, or, at the very least, sharing the space with them. Developed by WeirdCo and funded through Kickstarter, the Cyberpunk TCG is getting rave reviews already, with previews of the game pointing out its gorgeous art and fun, novel mechanics that rejuvenate what is becoming a relatively stale format. It remains to be seen whether the Cyberpunk TCG becomes one of the best TCGs ever made, or if it falls into obscurity like so many before it. However, with the likes of the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Burn Bright set, it's very possible that fans could flock to it in droves and boost its popularity enough to help it penetrate the mainstream. Burn Bright is only the second set for the TCG, following on from the Welcome to Night City set launching in November 2026. So far, WeirdCo has given a very tentative release date of Spring 2027 for the Cyberpunk Edgerunners: Burn Bright set for the Cyberpunk TCG. That encompasses any date between March 20 and June 21, which is an awfully long time. However, it seems likely that the set will release closer to March, especially if the first set proves popular enough, if only to capitalize on the inevitable success of Edgerunners 2. Regardless, it's exciting we're getting a Cyberpunk: Edgerunners set at all for the Cyberpunk TCG, something that will surely prove to be a smash hit among fans.
