As fans prepare for the first public screening of Coyote vs. Acme on Saturday at Comic-Con, Ketchup Entertainment has shared one last look at the Looney Tunes movie. On Thursday, Ketchup released the final trailer for the long-awaited mixed animation flick previously canceled by Warner Bros. Discovery in 2023 after production was completed on the Dave Green-helmed movie. In the final trailer for Coyote vs. Acme, Wile E. Coyote sees an ad for attorney Kevin Avery’s (Will Forte) legal action against the Acme Corporation’s faulty products, deciding to fight back after decades of failed attempts to apprehend his nemesis, Road Runner. “He’s one of the most hardworking people I’ve ever met. He would never think of quitting. I think everyone should be inspired by that,” says Forte’s Kevin in a rousing speech. Watch on Deadline Premiering August 28 in theaters, with tickets going on sale today, Coyote vs. Acme also stars Lana Condor, John Cena, Tone Bell, Martha Kelly, Luis Guzmán and countless beloved Looney Tunes characters. Written by Samy Burch from a story by her, James Gunn and Jeremy Slater, producers include Chris DeFaria and Gunn. In November 2023, Warners shelved the movie, which was based on the 1990 New Yorker article by Ian Frazier, receiving a $30 million tax write-off. The company also shelved Batgirl and Scoob! Holiday Haunt. Coyote vs. Acme eventually sold last year to Ketchup in a deal said to be in the $50 million range.
