COPS have released fresh images in the search for a woman who vanished six months ago – as they suspect she was murdered. Katie was last seen six months ago on January 23, wearing a long light brown puffer jacket, boots and tracksuit. Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Inspector, Gareth Unett said: “We know Katie was last seen alive at the end of January and – despite significant investigative work – sadly we have no confirmed proof of life beyond that point. “We remain open-minded and truly hope she’s found alive and well, however, based on the information we’ve gathered, we strongly believe she may have come to harm and are now treating her disappearance as suspected murder. “As we continue to try to find her, we remain in close contact with Katie’s family and friends, providing updates and support. Given the length of time that has passed, it’s important to get closure for them. Most read in The Sun “If you have information about Katie’s disappearance or know where she may be, please tell us. Any information, no matter how small, could prove crucial to our investigation. “Please share the appeal to help us find Katie so we can get answers for her loved ones.” In June, Katie’s dad said he remained hopeful answers could be found. He said: “No matter how old she gets, Katie will always be my little girl, and I miss her every day she’s not here. “The house just feels different. It’s quieter and there’s an emptiness where she should be.” He recalled how Katie, who has a passion for animals and worked in kennels, left behind her three cats which first alerted him to her disappearance. He said: “She adores those cats and I know she wouldn’t have left them without good reason. She’s always been a caring person, and you could see that from the way she looks after them. “She’s always been so strong, so affectionate and so loving – with Katie what you see is what you get. “She might be fiercely independent and live life on her own terms, but she’s always there when you need her and she’s got so much love to give.” He said: “I still feel like she’s going to come back and I think about her constantly. The other day, I could have sworn she was standing next to me in the living room, smiling. “I dream about her all the time, but then you wake up and she’s still not here. “If anyone knows anything, please come forward. Help us find out where she is and what’s happened. Katie’s missed more than words can say and I just want her home.”
