CM announces action plan to resolve pending land issues

With the government focused on resolving long pending land issues, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced a 12-point action plan in this direction.The government will soon announce a scheme for regularisation of surplus lands under the Urban Land Ceiling Act. The scheme will be applicable for the pending applications as well as the new ones that were likely to be submitted in due course. “Regularisation and registration of these lands will be taken up parallelly,” he said.The government would also announce a new scheme within a week for regularising layouts in different localities. The government would put in place a comprehensive mechanism to regularise pending applications of layouts approved by competent authorities like the HMGA, GHMC or DTCP.The government would also constitute a committee to examine eligibility criterion of 1.22 lakh applications pertaining to conveyance deeds. It would take up legal vetting for regularisation of houses built on the assignment lands covered under the Assignment Lands (prohibition of transfer) Act, 1977. This would be in addition to allowing the beneficiaries of Indiramma houses to take up transactions pertaining to houses allotted to them after a five-year lock in period.The government would consider regularisation of lands covered under the NALA (non agriculture land assessment) Act on payment of NALA charges along with stamp duty and registration fee. A new policy would be announced for regularisation of unauthorised layouts and colonies that came up on government lands and an official committee would be constituted to examine the requests for conversion of leasehold agreements pertaining to Secunderabad into freehold agreements.The Chief Minister assured that applications pertaining to regularisation of house sites in L.B.
