Mattel announced that the Canadian powerhouse vocalist is next in line for a Barbie Signature doll, and it pays tribute to one of the most iconic looks in the always fashionable singer’s fashion repertoire. The elegant doll — available for preorder now for $60 at Mattel Creations — commemorates Dion’s unforgettable performance of her Titanic theme song “My Heart Will Go On” from the 1998 Academy Awards show. The doll features a recreation of the turtleneck navy blue long-sleeve maxi dress Dion wore at the Oscars, including a miniature glittering necklace inspired by the blue heart-shaped “Heart of the Ocean” diamond necklace from the Oscar-winning drama. In a statement, Dion said, “It is a true honor to join the Barbie legacy with a doll inspired by one of the most meaningful moments of my career. I hope this doll inspires everyone to express themselves with confidence, follow their dreams and believe in the power of their own voice.” The doll is slated to ship on or before Dec. 31. Dion joins a long list of Barbie Signature dolls honoring iconic musicians, a roster that includes: Miley Cyrus, Whitney Houston, Diana Ross, Aaliyah, Stevie Nicks, Kylie Minogue, Lenny Kravitz, Tina Turner, Juan Gabriel, Elton John, Elvis and more. The singer is in the midst of a 26-date residency run in Paris, which kicked off on Sept. 12 and marked Dion’s return to the regular performance after a six-year hiatus due to her battle with the rare neurological disorder Stiff-Person Syndrome. The current string of shows will wrap up on Saturday (Oct. 17) before picking up with 10 more gigs in May 2027. Get weekly rundowns straight to your inbox Sign Up
