The episode will finally air the results of last week’s roundtable, with Sharon Rooney and Joanne McNally’s fates hanging in the balance after a split vote. The Traitors have looked impenetrable going into the final stretch, after Maya Jama, King Kenny and James Acaster were voted the most trustworthy by the Faithful in the scarecrow mission. It has now been claimed that the episode will culminate with a revelation that will ‘alter the course of the series’ ahead of its Friday night finale. A source told The Sun that viewers might have thought they could foresee where the series was going, but ‘there’s another sensational turn of events’. Elaborating on tonight’s reported bombshell, they added: ‘It’s one which no one is likely to see coming — the producers of the show certainly didn’t predict it. It comes after Celebrity Traitors viewers were left fearful that the full turret of Traitors being nominated as good-uns by their fellow contestants might have accidentally set them up to fail. Sharon Rooney is the odds-on favourite to go during tonight’s roundtable conclusion (Picture: BBC/Studio Lambert/Euan Cherry) Taking to X, @morris_movies asked the very valid question: ‘What’s going to happen when the three most trusted players, the pinnacle of the Faithful, all of whom are un-shielded, The Trustworthy Trio… all walk back into Breakfast un-murdered next week?’ ‘The only logical reason for that: they are all Traitors’, he added. They’ve got a point. It might be a stretch for all three to justify their survival through the night, particularly given that Julie Hesmondhalgh and Joe Lycett were deemed the most trustworthy in episode one, only for that to become a factor in their eventual banishments. Could this somehow feed into the reported bombshell? We’ll have to tune in tonight to find out. Metro contacted the BBC for comment on this story.
