Building a Freelance Platform on Cloudflare Workers: The Good, The Bad, and The Pyodide

In creating a freelance marketplace for AI and tech projects, the author faced the challenge of building it on a tight budget while prioritizing speed and Python backend capabilities. Using Cloudflare Workers, Pyodide, FastAPI, Next.js, and Cloudflare D1, the project aimed for swift load times and efficient operations. The results showed both innovative solutions and unexpected hurdles, highlighting the potential and limitations of this tech stack for similar ventures. This experience sheds light on the viability of low-budget, high-performance web solutions.
