British supermarket chain is now offering half-price fruit and veg on Mondays – check all the items included

A BRITISH supermarket chain has launched a new weekly promotion that will allow customers to save on essential items. The promotion will give customers a weekly opportunity to save as much as 50 per cent on some goods. Customers will be able to get fruit and vegetable for half price Credit: Getty “Fresh Mondays”, as the promotion name suggests, will allow customers to buy fresh fruit and vegetables at lower prices at Co-op. The promotion will cover a range of fresh produce, including blackberries, strawberries, potatoes, apples, grapes, raspberries, tomatoes, asparagus and peppers. Some items included in the deal are Pink Lady Apples (4 pack), down from £2.85 to £1.43, and Albert Bartlett Home Grown Potatoes (2kg), down from £2.60 to £1.35. As well as this, the supermarket is including Co-op Irresistible Exceptionally Sweet Cherry Tomatoes, dropping to £1.35 from £2.70 and Co-op Hand Picked Blackberries (150g), dropping to £1.63 from £3.25. The 450g Co-op Seedless Mixed Grapes are also available for £1.40 instead of £2.80. The promotion launched on August 17 and is expect to continue each week on Monday. On the same day, the supermarket launched a separate 24-hour promotion. Through Uber Eats, Co-op reduced three household staples to a combined price of 75p before delivery and other applicable charges. At the time, Co-op retail director Kate McCrae praised the flash promotion, saying: “We’re making it even easier for shoppers to pick up everyday essentials at an incredibly low price, with the added convenience of having them delivered straight to their door through Uber Eats.
