The couple unveiled their latest sartorial experiment ahead of the rapper’s concert in Indonesia. And this time, remarkably, they both appeared to have committed equally to the bit. The Australian architect, 31, opted for a skintight, diamante-encrusted bodysuit. Her husband, meanwhile, appeared to have arrived straight from investigating a chemical spill, sporting a glowing white boiler suit complete with a mask that entirely concealed his face. In a photograph shared to Instagram, Bianca could be seen straddling her husband ahead of his performance at Jakarta’s Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, where he later took to the stage wearing the same peculiar ensemble. Her sister Angelica offered the admirably succinct assessment: ‘Wow.’ Of course, anyone who has followed Bianca’s fashion journey will know that the architect has never been particularly concerned with the practicalities of getting dressed. Only last week, she stepped out in a completely transparent red fishnet top that required her to spend much of the evening using her own hand as a makeshift bra. Still, the question of why she chooses to dress this way has become something of a national pastime, with observers endlessly speculating about whether her unusual outfits are an expression of artistic freedom or evidence of her husband’s influence. Bianca, however, has already provided her own explanation. Speaking to Vanity Fair earlier this year, she described her fascination with nudity as an artistic pursuit, declaring: ‘I live my artwork.’ She also dismissed suggestions that Kanye dictates her wardrobe, explaining that the couple collaborate on her looks. Earlier this year, his planned appearance at London’s Wireless Festival was scrapped after the Home Office refused him permission to enter the UK, resulting in the cancellation of the entire event. Kanye has since apologised for his behaviour, attributing it in part to untreated bipolar disorder and a brain injury sustained in a 2002 car accident, while acknowledging that these explanations did not excuse his actions.
