Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took to the stage at the United Nations General Assembly on Sept. 24, 2026, as dozens of delegates walked out — the culmination of a prolonged debate over his presence in the U.S. given the International Criminal Court's warrant for his arrest on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity. In his speech, Netanyahu thanked U.S. President Donald Trump for his support, saying there was "no greater partner" in what he characterized as a "battle against the barbarians." As of this writing, Israel has killed 73,914 people in Gaza since the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attacks on Israel, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health.
