BEN Affleck’s mum Chris has died aged 83 six months after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Her touching obituary posted on The Boston Globe states that Chris was told the devastating news in December and passed away “peacefully in her sleep” on June 2 2026. The obituary states that “were the animating force of her last two decades. After being diagnosed with cancer, Chris revealed that her “greatest wish” was to see her grandson graduate from high school. She attended the celebratory event on May 31 2026 and passed away two days later. Chris and ex-husband Timothy Affleck welcomed Hollywood legend Ben into the world in 1972. Speaking about his parents 2012, Ben told The Hollywood Reporter: “My mother taught public school, went to Harvard and then got her master’s there and taught fifth and sixth grade in a public school. “My dad had a more working-class lifestyle. He didn’t go to college. “He was an auto mechanic and a bartender and a janitor at Harvard.” Ben also opened up about how his mum was one of his biggest supporters. Recalling the moment he brought his mum as his plus one to the Oscars in 1998 when won the gong for screenplay for Good Will Hunting, he told Vanity Fair: “We were sitting next to our moms and we won, and we kind of hugged our moms. “I remember how everyone had made such a big thing out of it as if this was such a novelty. “I remember thinking, being insecure, like, ‘Why?
