So long as you have less than two hours and don't abuse the system, it's pretty easy to get your money back. But one Battlefield 6 player took Valve's generosity to the extreme. Reddit user ExplorEverythingOnce claims to have scored a $109.24 refund for the Battlefield 6 Phantom Edition - despite having 470 hours in the game, 235 times the usual limit. "I was upset when King of the Hill and Squad Deathmatch was removed," they explained, attaching a photo of their purchase history as evidence. "But removing Rush is something I refuse to put up with. It's the mode I have the most time in by far." Looking through their post history, they've definitely played a lot of Battlefield 6, dating back at least three months (which also exceeds the refund window). In a post to the Battlefield subreddit complaining about the sheer number of playlists cluttering the main menu, you can see that they were level 109 at the time, which would take roughly 100+ hours to pull off judging by other posts from the community. So, an oddly specific number like 470 hours is probably genuine, and the receipts back up their claim. But why did Valve agree to a refund? Rush Still Appears On The Battlefield 6 Store Page "I contacted Steam Support and explained that multiple game modes were removed from the game without notice nearly a year after the game launched," ExplorEverythingOnce said. "I linked them to the Battlefield website which shows all the modes that are supposed to be available through matchmaking and then to the Community Broadcast from today. The support agent I spoke with agreed that wasn't right so they gave me back the full amount I paid for the Phantom Edition on launch day." Considering that the Battlefield 6 store page still lists Rush among its large-scale modes, even though it was quietly removed this week, it's understandable why a refund would be accepted. Someone bought the game for a specific mode, which is still being advertised on the store page, and yet it's unavailable. 470 hours or not, that's misleading. And sure, Rushg may not have had the most players, but it's been a series staple since Bad Company launched way back in 2008, so its unceremonious removal has proven incredibly controversial among fans.
