Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game - How Long Does It Take To Finish?

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is easily one of the year's most hyped-up fighting games thanks to its stunning visuals, competitive mechanics, and respect for the series' lore and canon. Another big reason for all the excitement is that it's much cheaper than its rivals in the genre. That has led some to believe that it's going to be bite-sized experience, but that's not the case at all. How Long Is The Story Mode? The main event of Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is its Story Mode, which tells an original story about timelines colliding and allowing characters from different eras to meet. Surprisingly, Avatar Legends' Story Mode is pretty lengthy for a fighting game, with the whole journey being split into four books and 27 chapters, each with a few fights and cutscenes. Some fights have bonus objectives like finishing an opponent with a grab, but they don't seem to do much and aren't even tracked. It took me around four hours to beat the Story Mode for Avatar Legends, which really surprised me as there was a lot more to it than I expected. There's only one difficulty mode and no real reason for replaying, but it's still a meatier story mode than I think most were expecting, and a good one at that. How Long Is Arcade Mode? The other main single-player offering in Avatar Legends is the genre-standard Arcade Mode, which features a unique story for each character. Arcade mode consists of eight matches, each with two rounds, resulting in a total of 16 fights. Finishing an arcade mode takes around 20 minutes overall, depending on your skill level. With 12 characters, that means fully completing the Arcade Mode will take you around two hours. Like with the Story Mode, there's nothing to replay for outside of having fun, so one run through of each character is all you really need. You better hope you can beat arcade mode in one sitting, though, as there's no continue option if you lose a fight. The CPU can be surprisingly hard too, so you might want to practise with What Other Modes Are There? Avatar Legends also has a pretty in-depth training mode, which lets you really get into the deep end with each character and how they play. Training Mode also has Trials, which are combo challenges for each character that also get pretty tricky. You'll really need to master the mechanics to get through these, and I'm betting it'll take a good few hours to beat them all. All in all, you're looking at around eight to 10 hours if you're aiming to do all single-player content. Outside of that, the final main mode for Avatar Legends is its Online mode, which is pretty much what you'd expect from a fighting game. There's no limit to how much you can play here, but if you enjoy it even half as much as me, you can easily expect to sink a few hours into taking on other players. If you're going for true 100 percent and trying to get the Platinum trophy, you're in for a tough time. While most of the achievements are fairly simple and involve using characters to win fights and beat the story mode, others ask for 24 hours in the training room and to beat every single Trial as every character. Good luck if you're going for that, as it really adds a lot of time.
