A visit to a hospital in Sheffield left Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) very surprised in Emmerdale today, as she bumped into Dr Caitlin Todd (Caroline Harker). Dr Todd left the village shortly after being questioned by DS Reid (Angela Lonsdale) over an allegation of sexual assault. The person who made the report was Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins). During her interview, a confident Caitlin denied the claim that she had attacked Charity, and stated that they had consensual sex. Dr Todd was allowed to head back home due to lack of evidence. She then departed Emmerdale for a new job in Sheffield. Ask Metro Use AI to go deeper into the stories you care about – powered by Metro and trusted publications. When she found Dr Todd in the lobby, Manpreet noted that she hadn’t been in touch. Even though she was very keen to get going, Doctor Todd didn’t want to arouse any suspicion, so agreed to Manpreet’s idea that they have lunch together. Manpreet enjoyed the alcohol at lunch a little too much, and had to get driven home by Doctor Todd. As a tipsy Manpreet headed home, Caitlin quickly headed to her car. She was stopped in her tracks, however, by Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick). Vanessa couldn’t resist confronting Dr Todd about what she did to Charity, and how she fell for her manipulation. Charity headed back to a support group (Picture: ITV) Irritated and wound up, Caitlin decided it wasn’t time to leave just yet. In Jacobs Fold, Charity was horrified when she realised Dr Todd had let herself into her home. Just how Charity reacts in this showdown will be interesting, as she made an incredible amount of progress at a support group in the instalment. We know that the clock is ticking where Doctor Todd is concerned, as a flashforward sequence has confirmed she will be murdered. But by who?
