He was driving the SUV when the accident occurred around six kilometres from the Jaisalmer district headquarters, near the War Museum, while the three officers were returning to the military station from the city.According to police, the camel suddenly came onto the road, leaving the driver with little time to react. The SUV rammed into the animal, overturned around five times and skidded nearly 100 metres before coming to a halt. A dead camel was found lying by the roadside, while the black SUV bearing registration number GJ39CC1403 was found badly damaged near the Army boundary wall. Police said the vehicle lost control after colliding with the camel, resulting in the devastating rollover.
