Animal lover Jacqueline Davies, 75, had climbed out of the driving seat to shift the moggy out of the way. A court was told Jacqueline was able to dial 999 and tell them she was unable to breath following the accident in Hollybush, Wales, on July 6. Sign up for The Sun newsletter Thank you! She was taken to University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff but tragically could not be saved. Coroner Rose Farmer said her provisional cause of death was given as a major haemorrhage, inferior vena cava injury, and trauma. The inquest was adjourned ahead of a full hearing on April 13 next year. Paying tribute, Jacqueline’s family said: “We are heartbroken beyond words at the sudden loss of our beloved mum. “She was a strong, independent, spirited mum who was never scared to speak her mind, and that was one of the many things we loved about her. “She was honest, determined and full of character, with a strength that inspired those around her. We are trying to come to terms with what has happened but we are also desperate for answers.” Gwent Police have asked for anyone travelling in the area of Bryn Millwr, Hollybush, who may have witnessed the vehicle or the collision between 10am and 10.30am on July 6 to get in touch.
