Amazon confirms Last One Laughing season 3 cast – with star returning and judge twist

The Amazon Prime Video show will feature another batch of comedians trying to make each other laugh, all while keeping a straight face. Jimmy Carr has once again roped in 10 of Britain’s leading comedians to pass a day together at an unspecified location, where the decor seems to have taken inspiration from a CBeebies show. What’s more, the announcement for the upcoming season has promised yet more comedy cameos, format twists and surprises designed to lure laughs from the players. It isn’t just the format that’s getting a twist, because for the first time, Roisin Conaty is truly being given something to do and will ditch her role as Carr’s sidekick to enter the game. Mel Giedroyc will return from season two to take on deputy duties in the control room. On her podcast, aptly titled Telling Everybody Everything, Ryan has always been open about undergoing Botox and filler treatments. And in the Last One Laughing context, the ability to be funny and keep your face motionless cannot be underestimated. Katherine Parkinson is on quite the run. She had that win for her show-stealing Rivals romance with Danny Dyer’s Freddie and now her Last One Laughing debut. She’s been on Taskmaster, she’s been on Travel Man, it’s only right she puts her IT Crowd comedy chops to work in this too. But the south Londoner is also a stand-up, who received rave reviews for her tour earlier this year. Jon Richardson (Picture: Channel 4) Jon Richardson, another comedy heavyweight, with more panel show appearances than us mere mortals can keep track of. But she really excels at impersonations. In her BBC comedy sketch show The Agency, she played the entire celebrity roster of a talent agency. All the characters. After finishing as a runner-up in the first season, Richard Ayoade will go again to see if he can come out on top. With a dry wit and unflinching facial features that precede him, Ayoade will be a tough act to beat. Particularly since there’s no Bob Mortimer to get him to crack this time around.
