Lexi Hughes has shared a series of sizzling swimwear snaps from her holiday in Corfu after her mother Amanda Holden hit back at nepo baby claims.The model, 20, has recently stepped into the industry, but Amanda has argued that all parents would want their children to succeed in any field of their choosing.While family links in showbusiness are by no means new, in recent years the term nepo baby has taken on an unsavoury connotation of being given an unfair handout. Amanda's eldest daughter entered the industry as a model, signed by Storm Management and making her catwalk debut at London Fashion Week in 2024.Showing off some of her latest work, Lexi posed up a storm in a mint green bikini while lounging by a swimming pool on their family holiday.The two piece displayed her toned figure and sun-kissed glow, as she opted for no make-up and wore her long blonde hair loose. When asked her thoughts on the nepo baby debate, Amanda told the Daily Mail: 'Being someone's kid is not going to secure work, make a living for you and longevity in whatever career.'It may get you a foot in the door, but then you're on your own, so I think it's unfair to sort of single out showbusiness or the music industry, because they're the worst businesses to be in!' Amanda added that everyone in all walks of life would make use of any connections at their disposal, explaining that she's been helping people get into the Global Radio studios, where she hosts Heart Breakfast. She explained: 'At Global, this is the week where the kids come in to make the tea and coffee and see how it all works. Everyone has such tenuous connections and it's brilliant, we welcome them with open arms. 'Hollie [Amanda's youngest daughter] is going to be doing this next year, but any kid that I know – if they needed a hand, the door is open. 'If I can help anyone, I'll do it. It's not just my own kids, it's my friends' kids.'I just hate the term nepo baby, because it's up to them to make it on their own. And it's often worse having a famous parent, it's not often a good thing.'Amanda went on to note that Hollie, 14, is embarrassed by having a famous mother, confessing: 'I have to drop her off at the end of the road! Amanda Holden has hit back at nepo baby critics as her daughter Lexi, 20, embraces a modelling career, saying 'all parents would want to give their child a foot in the door' 'She loves it when it can get her into like the theatre for like The Stranger Things premiere or something, but yeah, she hates it the rest of the time.'One benefit of having a parent in the industry, however, is that they can give first-hand experience and advice. Yet Amanda revealed she didn't need to offer up any wisdom for Lexi because 'she's doing her own thing'.Amanda explained: 'More than anything, she's pretty studious. She's got her head completely screwed on, and she doesn't suffer fools. 'She's very like Chris, my husband, in that respect, and she sort of stands back and observes. 'So I think whatever happens, whichever road she actually ends up going down, she'll succeed because she's intelligent and cynical. And I think those two things are quite good for someone of 20. 'She's unfazed and, doesn't assume anything and is quite humble and I think that's quite unique.'
