Hasbro and Working Title are moving forward with a movie based on Action Man, the popular British action figure franchise. And The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively confirmed that several Marvel creators have signed on to write the script. According to the publication, X-Men '97 writer Anthony Sellitti and Marvel producer Simon Hatt, who has worked with the studio for 10 years and will serve as an executive producer on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, will write the film together. Former producer Jeremy Latcham will produce the Action Man film. Before starting his own company in 2017, Latcham worked on The Avengers (2012), Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), and Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015). He also worked with Hasbro in the past, collaborating on projects such as Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. Hasbro has not issued a statement revealing any further information about the upcoming Action Man project. Working Title has yet to respond to The Hollywood Reporter's request for comments.
