Chefs Liu Fang and Josh Erickson will collaborate on a six-course menu that celebrates the lunar cycle and harvest season. The wine dinner is at 6 p.m. on Sept. 27 at Abundance, 1975 Lee Road. La Grosse Pierre wines will be available in Ohio for the first time at the dinner to pair with courses. The French wines are made in Chiroubles, which is one of the official cru Beaujolais regions in France. Tickets are $150 and available on OpenTable. Abundance will post the menu ahead of time, but it will likely be a collaboration of Fang’s style of modern Chinese cooking and Erickson’s take on contemporary, sustainable food. Both chefs also emphasize the importance of seasonality in their menus. The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, is a celebration of the time of harvest for many East and Southeast Asian cultures. The festival falls on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month, which falls on Sept. 25 this year. Rood is at 17001 Madison Avenue in Lakewood.
