Good Morning Britain star reveals shock engagement to partner after 23 years

The 56-year-old broadcaster beamed alongside his rarely-seen partner, Stuart, in an Instagram post captioned, ‘The splice of life 💍’ Richard wore a kilt with a vibrant pink sporran as he wrapped an arm around his husband-to-be. A second snap showed their Cockapoo, Clementine, wearing a ribbon reading ‘I do too’, suggesting the beloved pooch played a role in the proposal. Richard and Stuart, who have been together for 23 years, were inundated with congratulatory messages, including from ITV co-stars. ‘THE BIGGEST BESTEST NEWS – massive congratulations and tons of love ❤️❤️❤️’, commented Susanna Reid. He also occasionally mentions him when speaking on air and offered insight into their home in 2022. Richard told House Beautiful that he loves the ‘outdoor space’ at their property, calling it a ‘sanctuary’ where they also make ‘fantastic memories’, and shared that their neighbours keep bees and will bring them homemade honey. He also recalled presenting GMB from his shed (which he calls his ‘man cave’) during lockdown, later poking fun at Stuart on TV on their anniversary.
