But I love this franchise, and I hope we get to finish in the best way possible. No, I’m contracted. [If] we go, we go. We’re lucky to be having a great year [at the box office], but it’s different now. Movies have evolved and tastes have evolved and the box office has evolved. So we have to align our budgetary needs to the reality of the box office. We know that, and it’s fine. Everybody does that. It’ll be fine. Puppet Master In the foreword to his new book Horror Puppet (via Comic Book), Charles Band revealed a second Puppet Master remake is now in development at Blumhouse. We finally closed a deal with Blumhouse, the biggest name in what’s left of the horror world. It was a lucrative option deal for them to make a big reboot of Puppet Master. A movie, yes, and possibly a series as well. Best of all, I get to hold onto all my Puppet Master stuff the movies and the merch. Honestly, I can’t wait to see what they come up with. It’s something that John said, ‘As long as you want to keep making them, I’ll keep airing them.’ That’s always been the idea behind it, which is very empowering.
