Niall also has a rich history covering triple-A releases, sports games, and PC hardware. As we've come to expect with new Magic: The Gathering Universes Beyond sets, a whole Secret Lair superdrop is launching alongside the new release. For Star Trek, we're getting five bundles in total, covering everything from full-art basic lands to an entire Klingon language set. Admittedly, this Universes Beyond superdrop has some really cool cards, so if you're not financially ruined by two sets releasing close together and the endless stream of Secret Lair releases, it offers great options for Trekkies who want to expand their Magic card collection. The Star Trek Set Phasers To Superdrop Secret Lair bundles are dropping on Monday, November 9, at 9 am PT, 12 pm ET, 5 pm GMT, and 6 pm CET. This will follow the same structure as typical Secret Lair superdrops, meaning all bundles will be available to add to a cart from 8 am PT, 11 am ET, 5 pm GMT, and 5 pm CET. At that point, you will be asked to log in to your Wizards account, then placed in a waiting room until the products go live. At that time, the entire waiting room is randomized into a checkout queue. You will be given an approximate waiting time based on your position in the queue. When you are admitted onto the Secret Lair website, you have ten minutes to check out your cart. Some products may sell out, in which case they will be removed from your cart. As for prices, each bundle costs $29.99 for the nonfoil variant and $39.99 for the foil version. Wizards of the Coast has yet to confirm any complete bundles, but we fully expect these to be available on the day. This includes bundles of just the foil or nonfoil cards, plus an everything bundle with both copies of each. These bundles are rarely sold at a major discount; instead, they're conveniently packaged to make checkout easier. Finally, this drop's promo card is Transporter Boondoggle, a reskinned version of Return of the Wildspeaker. You will earn one copy of this card for every $199 spent on the superdrop. Free shipping is available when you spend $99. KHAAAAAAAAN This gorgeous set of cards focuses on Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan, with the iconic villain played by Ricardo Montalbán featured on three of the six cards in the bundle. Overall, the bundle is a little unfocused, with two mono-blue cards, one mono-green, one mono-black, one white-black, and one mono-white. However, if you're a big fan of the Wrath of Kahn film, the artwork on these cards is more than worth the cost of the bundle. Here are the six cards included in this bundle, two of which are renamed alternatives. Best Served Cold (Wrath of the Skies) Commandeer Reliant's Betrayal (Illusionist's Gambit) Buried Alive Genesis Wave Fracture Lower Decks Next up is the Lower Deck bundle, which, unsurprisingly, centers on the Lower Deck animated show. This bundle features five cards, all of which are renamed, but it's just as varied as the Kahn bundle, with one colorless card, one green-blue, one mono-red, one black, one white, and one black-blue. Here are the five cards from the Lower Decks bundle: Mariner, Breaching Protocol (Inti, Seneschal of the Sun) Boimler, Citing Protocol (Kambal, Profiteering Mayor) Rutherford, Rebuilding the Past (Silas Renn, Seeker Adept) Tendi, Exploring the Future (Thrasios, Triton Hero) S.S. Cerritos, California-Class (Weatherflight) Tlhingan Mah A surprising inclusion up next is the Tlhingan Mah bundle, which is exclusively Klingon language cards. Well, kinda. Each card in this deck is double-sided, with one side featuring the English translation and the other the Klingon alternative. These are all mono-red cards, making it the most focused bundle of the entire superdrop, bar the lands. Here are the five cards from the Tlhingan Mah bundle: Demand Answers Relentless Assault Seething Song War's Toll Warstorm Surge Beam Me Up Reversible cards are also the name of the game for the Beam Me Up bundle (not to be confused with the Beam Me Up sealed gift bundle). This set only contains four cards, but each is reversible with different artwork on each side of the card. It features two mono-white cards, one mono-blue, and one colorless. Here are the four cards in the Beam Me Up bundle: Beam Us Up (Eerie Interlude) Momentary Blink Materialize (Essence Flux) The Transporter (Conjurer's Closet) New Worlds Finally, we have the New Worlds bundle, which contains ten cards in total, but it's two copies of each of the basic lands, which have been given a new Star Trek treatment. There's an argument that these could have been included in the main set, and we wouldn't expect many players to go out of their way to buy this bundle separately, but die-hard fans may appreciate the chance to bling out some of their favorite decks.
