A $150 Philips Hue Sync Box Lite just leaked

It connects smart lights to a TV to sync them together for immersive streaming and gaming experiences. But the Philips Hue Sync Box is on the expensive side, at $385. A recent find by HueBlog though shows that a more affordable option could be on the horizon. A few key changes HueBlog found a social media post that led to a listing for the Hue Play Sync Box Lite on a British retailer’s site. It’s listed at £109.99, which is about $150. The description reads: “The Hue Play Sync Box Lite synchronises compatible smart lights with TV content, films and gaming for a more immersive viewing experience. Easy to integrate into your entertainment setup, it brings your room to life with responsive lighting effects.” The box in the listing shows that the Hue Play Sync Box Lite is 4k, as opposed to the Hue Sync Box, which is 8k. It looks like a smaller version of the Hue Play Sync Box, and has one HDMI input as compared to the other’s four. An official announcement might be on the way The listing says the item is out of stock. It seems likely that the page was made public before the device is supposed to go on sale. With IFA coming up in early September, it’s possible that the Hue Play Sync Box Lite will make its official debut there.
