Shivakumar.Police identified the accused as Hemanth Kumar alias Ganesh, 30, a resident of Sharavathi Nagar in Shivamogga. He has been remanded to judicial custody.The accused allegedly promised Manjunath Hanchi, a city resident, membership in a club after identifying himself as the Chief Minister’s PA, and collected ₹15 lakh from him. Based on Mr. Hanchi’s complaint, the police registered a case of cheating against Hemanth Kumar.Police Inspector K.T. Gururaj and his team traced and arrested the accused under the guidance of senior officers. Shivamogga Superintendent of Police Nikhil B. commended the team for its work.
