Two people were killed and six others injured in a wave of attacks across five districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region on Friday, Aug. 7. Nikopol bears the brunt of the strikes The heaviest damage was reported in the Nikopol district, where Russian forces hit the communities of Nikopol, Marhanets, Pokrovsk, Chervonohryhorivka, Mozolivka, and Myrove, damaging private homes, vehicles, and an apartment building. Two men were killed in the Nikopol district strikes, while five more people were injured. A 50-year-old man was hospitalized in serious condition, while a 17-year-old boy and men aged 56 and 57, along with a 48-year-old woman, are receiving outpatient treatment. Nikopol has remained one of the hardest hit areas since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022, with the district facing near-daily bombardment. On Monday, Aug. 3, four people were injured in the district alone, including a 33-year-old woman who was hospitalized in moderate condition. These consistent attacks on the Nikopol district prompted Hanzha to build a school shelter in the frontline community, bringing 120 students and teachers back to class as of July 1. In the Synelnykove district, the communities of Mykolaivka and Vasylkivka came under attack, sparking a fire, while in the Kamianske district, Russian forces targeted the Bozhedarivka and Vyshneve communities, damaging local infrastructure. The Kryvyi Rih district also came under fire, with the Hrushivka and Zelenodolsk communities sustaining damage to infrastructure and a vehicle. One woman was injured in the attack.
