It’s Halloween! On a Saturday. I hope you have some free time to enjoy it. If you need something to help you get in the spooky mood, or keep you occupied in-between handing out candy, there’s a bunch of very good horror games that are really cheap on Steam right now. Here’s 15 of them: The Excavation of Hob’s Barrow – $5.24 (65 percent off) Resident Evil 2 remake – $8 (80 percent off) Don’t Starve – $2.49 (75 percent off) Buckshot Roulette – $1.49 (50 percent off) A Plague Tale: Innocence – $3.99 (90 percent off) Feed The Pit – $7.99 (20 percent off) Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon – $4.99 (50 percent off) Moldrise – $8.99 (25 percent off) Bendy and the Dark Revival – $1.99 (90 percent off) Fran Bow – $4.49 (70 percent off) Bella Wants Blood – $0.99 (80 percent off) Heaven Does Not Respond – $5.49 (45 percent off) Idols of Ash – $2.39 (20 percent off) Blood Typers – $8.74 (30 percent off) Mundaun – $5.99 (70 percent off) Resident Evil 2 remake is what it says on the tin, just at one of its lowest prices ever. A Plague Tale: Innocence is a good stealth adventure for those feeling a bit more medieval gothic than usual today. Bella Wants Blood is a clever and mostly overlooked tower defense roguelike with a neat style. Blood Typers is friendslop for people who like vampires and keyboards. Heaven Does Not Respond is old computer monitor creepypasta. The Excavation of Hob’s Barrow is GOTY-league detective fiction. Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon might be the best non-Castlevania Castlevania (old-school arcade action platforming). I hadn’t heard of Moldrise before, but it came out last summer and looks exceptionally good as far as atmospheric psychological horror goes. All of these games are below $10 and have Steam user ratings above 85 percent. All of the games combined will only run you about the price of a new premium release (roughly $70). Happy Halloween!
