His already-impressive victory came with accepting this part of himself, but as he moves to tame the spirit dwelling inside him, this final exchange with Kushina is the true highest peak of Naruto's emotional arc yet. It's one thing to overcome a symbolic trial; it's another to put it to practical use, healing a lifelong mental wound in the process. It's a moment standing as a stark contrast with Naruto's first meeting with Minato, similarly as chakra remnants buried within his psyche. Instead of hitting Kushina like he did Minato, the boy found his mother, and couldn't help but hold her tight and be grateful to meet her. Why Naruto's Line Is The Greatest In Shonen Anime History Admittedly, the Naruto franchise faces stiff competition among the shonen anime greats. Final goodbyes to or from parents tend to pack a whallop for audiences as an innately relatable experience.
