14-Year-Old Boy Killed as Russian Drone Hits Kyiv High-Rise

A 14-year-old boy was killed and three people were injured after a Russian drone struck a residential high-rise in Kyiv on the morning of Sept. 25, Ukrainian officials said. One of the injured is in serious condition. All three wounded were hospitalized, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration (KMVA). Ukraine’s Air Force said Kyiv was targeted by a jet-powered Shahed drone, which was reported over the capital at around 8 a.m. A fire broke out at the site of the strike, according to eyewitnesses. The attack was part of a massive overnight Russian drone assault on Ukraine. Ukrainian officials said Russia launched nearly 300 drones, including jet-powered Shahed-type drones. The strike came as Kyiv was already under attack from the night. Russian forces also hit a 25-story residential building elsewhere in the capital, damaging the structure around the fourth floor.
