Zendaya attended her nephew EJ Coleman’s Senior Night football game in Folsom, Calif., and the Dune actress didn’t fumble the opportunity to score some major aunt points.ByOct 26, 2026 8:33 PM| Updated 23 minutes agoTagsHow Zendaya Really Feels About Law Roach Announcing Her Wedding to Tom HollandZendaya was in a state of euphoria watching her nephew play football. Indeed, the Spider-Man: Brand New Day star weaved her way to Folsom High School near Sacramento, Calif., on Oct. 23 and was all smiles while watching her nephew EJ Coleman compete during the team’s Senior Night. In a picture shared to his Instagram Oct. 25, EJ—the son of Zendaya’s half-brother Julien “EZ” Coleman—posed alongside the actress, who sported a fuzzy green coat over a custom shirt with EJ’s picture on it and a pair of jeans emblazoned with his name and jersey number. The Euphoria alum’s mom Claire Stoermer also celebrated the special family moment with a post worthy of an endzone celebration, writing on her Instagram Stories alongside the picture, “Such a great night!! Beyond proud of @ej_cole007!! Thanks to all the Folsom High School kids for being so respectful.” Of course, the moment under the Friday night lights was a no-brainer for Zendaya, who also posed with the Folsom High School cheerleading squad at the game. In fact, she’s been adamant about how “being with my family” is her way to maintain normalcy amid her fame. “We are very close,” the 30-year-old told Vogue Brasil in May. “I’m an aunt, and seeing my nieces and nephews grow up is very important to me. They bring a lot to my life, even without realizing it.” As she sees it, “Sometimes, it’s simple things, like helping to redecorate my niece’s room. At that moment, I’m just Aunt Daya—and that’s everything.” EJ Coleman/InstagramAnd being an aunt is the perfect role for Zendaya—who recently tied the know with Tom Holland—because it means she isn’t caught in a web of responsibility. "I have many, many little nieces and nephews. So they're like my borrowed children," she quipped to People in 2024. "I get to have fun and then give them back to their parents."
