President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia targeted his aircraft with drones twice in recent weeks, describing the incidents as part of an effort to intimidate him and other foreign officials supporting Ukraine. Zelensky’s plane was almost hit by a drone as he was taking off from Moldova to visit Oslo, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre said on Sept. 8, describing the incident as a “reality” that Ukraine’s president continues to face amid Russia’s war in Ukraine. Train attack raises broader concerns Zelensky linked the drone incidents to Russia’s latest strike on Ukraine’s railway infrastructure on Monday, Sept. 13, when a jet-powered drone hit a passenger train near Yahodyn in Volyn region, just a few kilometers from the Polish border. The train was carrying senior foreign officials, including former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and former CIA Director David Petraeus. No casualties were reported, despite the train carrying 206 passengers. “Maybe they didn’t know that some Americans had been there or maybe… they knew, because I don’t trust them.
