Zelensky Says He Would Visit Moscow ‘On a Rocket’

President Volodymyr Zelensky had a blunt answer when Russian reporters asked him in New York when he planned to visit Moscow: “On a rocket, f**k” The exchange took place on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly on Wednesday. He said a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin there was “impossible” and publicly invited Putin to Kyiv instead.“I invite him publicly, if he dares, of course,” Zelensky said at the time.He added that Ukraine was serious about ending the war and would consider a leaders’ meeting in a format that could produce results. But Moscow and Belarus, he said, were unacceptable venues because Russia was waging war against Ukraine and Belarus was its partner in those actions.“But if someone doesn’t want to meet but can’t bring themselves to say so directly for some reason, that’s when these invitations to Moscow come up. It’s clear what’s going on,” Zelensky added.Against that backdrop, on Thursday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov claimed that Zelensky had not rejected Russia’s invitation.“Zelensky has not refused to come to Moscow.
