There are plenty of upgrades for bags and capacity, but a few major ones are also obscured, hidden behind tricky sidequests that aren't required to complete the game. But since the Ocarina of Time remake draws so much from the original, a few of those upgrades aren't as deviously hidden as they were on the original hardware. Here's how to find the Fire Arrows, which can be obtained not long after you control Adult Link for the first time, and have made your way through the Forest Temple. The Fire Arrows Are In Lake Hylia You'll need to do a bit of prep work to be able to unlock Fire Arrows, as they are not accessible in the opening hours of the game, and cannot be used by Young Link at all. First, locate the Fairy Bow in the Forest Temple, the first dungeon Adult Link faces. You'll find it halfway in, and you can use it in a variety of ways, including taking out enemies of all types, hitting eyeball switches in dungeons to solve puzzles, and imbuing it with fire, ice, and light powers. The first upgrade you can snag for your bow is Fire Arrows, so let's hit that as soon as possible. Second, warp to Lake Hylia using Serenade of Water, which you get in the Ice Cavern mini dungeon. If you want to walk there manually and don't have the song, Kakariko Village is nearby. Head to the plaque on the ground in Lake Hylia with your bow ready. You can find the location directly above on the map. Shoot At The Sun As It's Rising Now that you're fully in place, just confirm that you're aiming over the plaque on the ground. Then pull out your Ocarina using the left D-pad and play the Sun's Song. If it's day, play the Sun's Song to make it night, then play it again to make the sun rise. After you gain control of Link, aim your bow directly at the sun and fire. Don't overthink it: you should be able to trigger the secret cutscene by firing at the sun as soon as it appears, but if you don't quite get it right the first time, you can play the Sun's Song twice and repeat the process. After you successfully shoot the sun, the game plays a quick cutscene showing the Fire Arrows magically dropping from the heavens to the ground on the next island. Swim over and grab your spoils. Here's the official description of Fire Arrows from the game: "Magically enchant your arrows with fire (uses 1 magic power). Sets targets ablaze on impact." That's all you need to pick up the Ocarina of Time Fire Arrows, and you'll probably be using them in every dungeon afterward. Until you get access to the Ice Arrows later in the game, and the Light Arrows at the very end, they're one of the most useful weapons in your arsenal.
