'You f***ing idiot, move back!': Russian soldier accidentally fires RPG at his own feet during training

A Russian soldier nearly ended his own life after accidentally firing an RPG at his own feet during training. In footage shared across social media, the rookie soldier was seen gingerly picking up an RPG launcher and placing it on his shoulder. After fumbling with it for a few seconds, he seemingly tried to take it back down to readjust it. But as he pointed the weapon at his feet, the RPG suddenly fired. His trainer, who was filming the incident, quickly screamed at him: 'You f***ing idiot, move back! What, are you stupid?' He continued berating the man, adding: 'Have you gone crazy? Are you a f***ing idiot?' Mishaps like these, as well as the Kremlin's strategy of sending troops into Ukraine with poorly maintained equipment, perhaps explain why, according to Kyiv, Russia has lost nearly 1.5million troops since the start of the invasion. General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported today that nearly 1,500 Russian soldiers suffered casualties. What, are you stupid?So far, the army says, Russia has lost 12,293 tanks, 25,211 armoured combat vehicles, 138,773 vehicles and fuel tanks, 48,519 artillery systems and 2,056 multiple launch rocket systems. On top of this, Ukraine says, the Kremlin has also lost 1,586 air defence systems, 440 aircraft, 354 helicopters, 478,327 unmanned aerial vehicles, 2,368 unmanned ground systems, 35 ships and boats, and two submarines.Ukraine has not disclosed the number of losses it has suffered. In January, the Centre for Strategic and International Studies, a US think-tank, reported that Kyiv had suffered up to 600,000 casualties. Of this, up to 140,000 Ukrainians are believed to have been killed. Ukraine has also been making inroads into Russia, targeting infrastructure that supports Vladimir Putin's war machine. The despot today announced he was giving the Russian state the authority to take control of critically-important infrastructure facilities if they are deemed to be poorly protected from Ukrainian drone attacks and other threats.The special powers, set out in a presidential decree, will allow the state to take over temporary administration of such facilities at a time when Ukraine has stepped up drone attacks on oil refineries and retail warehouses.The state will be able to take control of physical and financial assets and formal ownership rights if the entities responsible for such facilities are judged to have failed in their duty to protect them and are too slow to repair them after any attack, according to the decree.
