September 11, 2026 — 11:44amIt’s fair to say Jo-Bro offered a little something for everyone with that half-time set: for fans, it was a medley of the faves; for the non-fans, it was over so quickly that you barely had time to register your objection to the infuriating perkiness of their pop.By my reckoning, the set began at 12.01pm, and was done by 12.08. What a contrast to the game itself, in which a half of football that ostensibly runs 30 minutes actually plays out, with stoppages, to 90.The Jonas Brothers perform at the MCG.Luke HemerThe set ran somewhere between six and seven minutes, and in that brief space they managed to jam four original songs and the “surprise” Australian cover they had teased yesterday. And no, it wasn’t a Delta Goodrem song, so I guess Nick has moved on after all. It was John Farnham’s You’re the Voice. A safe choice, but a good one, too. For the record, the set list ran: Burnin’ Up, Sucker, Listen When Sad, You’re the Voice and Year 3000.Also for the record, Joe was there after all. The brothers wore identical letter jackets, the classic off-field attire of college jocks, were backed by a wall of cheerleaders and fans, flanked by musicians (drums, bass, guitar), and Nick and Kevin wielded axes of their own while Joe – presumably too jet-lagged to do any heavy lifting – had a microphone only (yes, Jo-Bro fans, I know that’s how they usually do it).You always have to wonder how much bolstering is happening in a stadium show like this, but they appeared to be singing (and playing) live, and sounded pretty great, all things considered. In terms of spectacle, it was pretty meh. In terms of performance, it was pretty good. And in terms of speed, it sure could teach the NFL a thing or two. From our partners
Yo, so how did Jo-Bro go at the NFL half-time show at the ’G?
