Yet another Emmerdale character feared dead after shocking attack

The episode in question will air on ITV1 on at 8pm. Vinny Dingle’s (Bradley Johnson) life hangs in the balance after being attacked by Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle). Billy was left in complete and utter shock when, on the day of Dawn Taylor’s (Olivia Bromley) funeral, Vinny turned up at Home Farm to make quite a confession. Dawn, as viewers will recall, was killed on her wedding day when Jimmy King’s (Nick Miles) car drove through the marquee after he swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle. The other driver was none other than Vinny, who has been carrying around the guilt of being on the phone to Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) at the time of the incident. But after coming clean to Nicola (Nicola Wheeler), Vinny headed up to Home Farm to tell grieving husband Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) the truth about his involvement in what happened to Dawn. Joe enlightened Billy as to what Vinny had just confessed to. Disgusted, Billy punched Vinny to the floor, striking him several times. Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) arrived in the nick of time and told Vinny to leave – and to keep shtum about what happened. As word of Vinny’s role in Dawn and Jimmy’s demise filtered through the village, Mandy (Lisa Riley) desperately waited for her son to return home so that she could get answers from him. Vinny’s life hangs in the balance (Picture: ITV) Vinny admitted that the village gossip is true – he was driving the car that made Jimmy serve. Mandy was tending to her son’s wounds at the time of the confession and, devastated, she stormed off, with Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) giving chase. The question is: will he be okay? Or is another death on the cards? Previous reports suggest that Vinny star Bradley Johnson will be leaving the show – but the way in which he departs has yet to be revealed.
