Yemen’s foreign minister Afrah al-Zouba has urged Arab states to push for measures to deter Houthi attacks during a meeting with Arab ambassadors in Berlin. Zouba told the envoys about the impact of the attacks on civilians, particularly in Taiz, which she said remained under siege, and raised the detention of UN staff and humanitarian workers by the Houthis, the state-run Saba news agency reported. She said the absence of deterrent measures had encouraged the group to continue attacks in Yemen and across its borders, the report said. The ambassadors condemned Houthi attacks in Yemen and on Saudi territory, and reaffirmed their support for Yemen’s internationally recognised government, Saba reported.
