'Yellowstone' Officially Meets 'John Wick' in First Trailer for Brandon Sklenar's New Western Thriller

He's moseyed far beyond the Western genre at this point, appearing in Christopher Landon's horror hit Drop, enjoying a prominent role in the blockbuster adaptation of Colleen Hoover's It Ends With Us, and most recently shining alongside Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried in Paul Feig's excellent The Housemaid. The horizon looks mighty promising for him, too, including a reunion with Sheridan on the action-packed crime drama F.A.S.T. Before that arrives in May, however, he's returning to familiar territory for a film that blends the style of Yellowstone with the thrills of John Wick. Now, Sklenar's next venture into the Western genre has officially pulled back the curtain. Paramount released the first trailer for its hotly anticipated new film, The Rescue, a thriller that casts the breakout star as a former rodeo cowboy turned Liam Neeson-like force of nature when he finds that his daughter has been kidnapped and held for ransom. When it's clear the police will be of no help, he takes his loyal dog up the mountain to track her down and make whoever took her rue the day they crossed paths. It's set to premiere on January 29.
