Logo text That the final season of Yellowjackets features the high school soccer team being rescued and returning home is no secret. A trailer for the show — as well as, you know, the previous three seasons — suggests that the homecoming won’t be a completely happy occasion. The trailer (see it below) toggles back and forth between the 1990s-set post-crash ordeal, a newly introduced timeline following the survivors after their homecoming, and the present day. In the post-rescue scenes, the young Taissa (Jasmin Savoy Brown) delivering a speech saying “more than anything, we survived because of love.” Mm-hmm. The trailer also features Alanis Morissette’s “Ironic” — continuing her association with the show — and several brutal scenes set in the wilderness, along with Hilary Swank’s Melissa apparently sitting for a TV interview about her experience after the crash. The final season will follow a host of revelations, including the identity of “Pit GIrl” and who was responsible for killing Lottie in the present day, from the season three finale. Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress, Sophie Nélisse, Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Courtney Eaton, Liv Hewson, Warren Kole, Kevin Alves, Sarah Desjardins, Nia Sondaya, Jenna Burgess and Swank star in the final season of Yellowjackets. June Squibb, Elijah Wood, Molly Ringwald, Devon Sawa, Sam Braun and Dulé Hill have guest roles. Series creators Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson are the showrunners for season four and executive produce with Drew Comins of Creative Engine, Jonathan Lisco, Jeff W. Byrd, Sarah L. Thompson, Ameni Rozsa and Julia Bicknell. Lionsgate TV produces Yellowjackets. The final season premieres Nov. 20 on Paramount+.
