Yash seeks Lord Manjunatha's blessings before Toxic release, visits Dharmasthala

KGF star Yash visited Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala on Tuesday, August 25, a day ahead of the worldwide release of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups. The actor sought the blessings of Lord Manjunatha at the Sri Manjunatha Swamy Temple as he completed one of his customary pre-release rituals before his latest film reaches theatres.Yash arrived at Mangaluru International Airport on a special flight from Chennai, after attending the pre-release event organised there on August 24, and received a warm welcome from fans. He then travelled to Dharmasthala by road, where he offered prayers at the temple. He was accompanied by Toxic producer Venkat K Narayana. The actor and producer also met Dr D Veerendra Heggade, the Dharmadhikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala. The actor has regularly sought the blessings of Lord Manjunatha before his films hit theatres, and he followed the tradition ahead of Toxic as well. Even while addressing the media, he shared that, even though his visit to the temple came at the cusp of the film's release, he was happy he could get to it before Toxic hit theatres worldwide.The visit comes as Yash's latest film enters its final hours before release. The team began its promotional campaign with the trailer launch in Bengaluru, followed by an audio launch in Mumbai and pre-release events in Hyderabad and Chennai. The promotional tour is continuing with a special event in Kochi on Tuesday. The film has also generated considerable pre-release buzz, with advance bookings showing a strong response across markets. Reports on Tuesday indicated that more than six lakh tickets had already been sold in India, with advance sales crossing Rs 30 crore. Directed by Geetu Mohandas and produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic stars Yash alongside Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Rukmini Vasanth, Tara Sutaria and Huma Qureshi. The film is set for a worldwide theatrical release in multiple languages on Wednesday, August 26. It marks Yash's return to the big screen after KGF: Chapter 2.
