Xi Jinping meets foreign leaders: tracker, October 2026

In October 2026, Chinese President Xi Jinping held meetings with two African and two European leaders, signaling China's growing diplomatic engagement. This flurry of activity came amid the Communist Party Central Committee’s fifth plenum, a key event underscoring China's internal policy shifts. With more high-profile meetings expected in November, including the Apec summit, Xi's diplomatic efforts highlight China's ambition to strengthen international ties and assert its global influence. These interactions will likely shape future international relations and economic partnerships.
